What Will You Discover?
The Delmarva Discovery Museum will be hosting a Read - A - Thon in collaboration with our local library systems from November 1 - November 30. To participate readers will pick up their book mark here at the museum or at their local library. Readers are then to check out and read 5 books about any or all of the following topics: Aquatic Life, The Chesapeake Bay, or Environmental Conservation. Write the name of the book on the lines on the back of the bookmark and have the librarian sign off on the books as they are checked off and stamp when it is completed! Then turn it in to us in the museum or upload it to our webpage using the form on the November Read - A - Thon page! Happy Reading.
Happy Thanksgiving
Things We are Grateful For!
The Delmarva Discovery Museum is grateful for our community of supporters. To our volunteers, we are incredibly thankful for your time and interest in our museum. This museum could not run as well as it does without you. To our Members, your interest in coming back time and time again keeps us motivated to come up with new programs that make you want to not only come back but tell your friends and family about us. To our Museum visitors, thank you for taking time out of your day to come visit this little hidden gem of a Museum in Pocomoke City. We appreciate your patronage and love getting the feedback you provide to help us create better programs to serve the public. To the teachers who bring your students, we are grateful that you have given us the opportunity to not only talk about the history of Delmarva with your students but also the environment of the Shore. It is a privilege to see the excitement in your students eyes when they are participating in our programs. To our donors, whether you have made a big contribution or a small one we are forever grateful that you took the time and supported us. Our non profit could not survive without the financial support of donors like you. To our staff, your work ethic and determination are truly remarkable. This Museum could not function without you. May we always have people like you in our community of supporters because we are truly grateful for all of you. Happy Thanksgiving!
